Lichtspiel
a german expression.. not easily translated into english. literally it means.. play of light.. but there are various meanings to this.. illumination, reflections, shadow and light.. lightshow, illumination effects� anyway.. you get the picture. to me this play of light and shadow is fascinating.. as a child i had a room in the first floor of a house in a big town in switzerland.. there was a birchtree in front of one of the windows and when the setting sun shone though this window, one of the walls turned to liquid gold, and the shadow of the birchleaves was playing on the wall. this memory inspired this image..
