About Mimulux Patricia No
i grew up in switzerland and south africa. later i returned to europe but soon moved on to south-east asia. i spent several years there and then returned to europe - where i also lived in various countries. recently i have lived in hungary for several years but for medical reasons i have been in switzerland on and off, well in 2017 that was still the case. now i am back permanently in my home country, switzerland. art has always played a great role in my life and i assume my travels and stays abroad have had a large influence on me and my art. i love to do traditional art, collages and mixed media mostly.. but also photography and digital art.. my style? wild, colourful, energetic... i would call it "naive symbolistic...

I love the way you managed to get so many shades and analogous colours in here for depth and richness. It is so like emotions I have felt at times, and I think many people will be able to relate to it instantly. I remember a particular autumn when I knew my relationship must end and everything would change drastically when it did. I was driving through the countryside with some other people and feeling utterly isolated despite the company. It was a long drive and the tones and textures of autumn grasses and turning leaves were intensely moving to me, in a way never before. The hues in this painting remind me of those colours and the way they leapt out at me as though my despair and aloneness had a beautifully warm and rich backdrop. It is strange, that even without a landscape in your painting, all of that has flooded back to me. Such is the power of great art.
