i rarely write much about my art.. but here.. i would like to elaborate a bit. for a long time one of my best friends was a woman of the yenish people of switzerland.. in german the spelling is jenisch. they are our travellers, gypsies.. living mostly in caravans and travelling around the country. she was my best friend.. and i spent many happy and fun moments with her and her family. after i left switzerland we lost contact, then she passed away and i had those lovely memories ... missing her.. never forgetting her. and yesterday, i found members of her family again.. made contact and this painting happened. i dedicate this digital painting to all my yenish friends.. and especially to my friend edith, RIP ..
i grew up in switzerland and south africa. later i returned to europe but soon moved on to south-east asia. i spent several years there and then returned to europe - where i also lived in various countries. recently i have lived in hungary for several years but for medical reasons i have been in switzerland on and off, well in 2017 that was still the case. now i am back permanently in my home country, switzerland. art has always played a great role in my life and i assume my travels and stays abroad have had a large influence on me and my art. i love to do traditional art, collages and mixed media mostly.. but also photography and digital art.. my style? wild, colourful, energetic... i would call it "naive symbolistic...

This is such a wonderful and soulful painting. There is a sense of continuity and infinity as I look into the centre of it. I am so glad I saw it here as it has rekindled the magic of what the best abstract can be. So purely focused on the one memorial thought and the one light of the heart.
